How to create and connect database in plesk

Plesk supports multiple PHP versions out of the box, you can apply one as per your requirement. 

To change the PHP version:

1. Login to control panel : Go to the ( specific domain ) Websites & Domains

2. Go to PHP settings option : Select  the required php version from the drop down menu

3. Apply and save the changes.


To set the PHP parameters (php.ini):

1. Login to control panel : Go to the ( specific domain ) Websites & Domains

2. Go to PHP settings option : Set the values as per your site’s requirement.

3. Apply and save the changes.

To create and manage database:

1. Login to control panel : Go to the ( specific domain ) Websites & Domains 

2. Click on the “Database” section

3. You can perform following operations via the database section:

  • Manually create a database for your site.
  • Make a database copy.
  • Manage database user accounts and set up access rules.
  • View connection information (host name, database name, username).
  • Check a database for issues and repair the database.
  • Export and import database dumps or backup databases as part of a subscription backup.
  • Move a database to another subscription.
  • Link a database to one of websites on your subscription.
  • Manage data with external database management tools, such as phpMyAdmin.

To create and manage mail accounts :

1. Go to Mail Account optionand then click Create Email Address.

2. Specify the following mailbox settings:

3. Click on OK and an email account will be create.

4. You can login the webmail as well as can use any third party mail application like Outlook, Thunderbird etc. with same details.

You can perform following operation via mail settings option:

1. Action to perform with non-existent email accounts.
2. Mail client you wise to use for webmail.
3. To enable SSL/TLS certificate for webmail 
4. Enable DKIM spam protection system to sign outgoing email messages
